THE APPLE EVENT
Here’s Everything Apple Announced
lately apple can be summed up in just two words…

Apple held their annual iPhone announcement event at Apple Park two nights ago and it included a host of other product and software announcements.
The star of the show was the unveiling of the iPhone 16 lineup. We got the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. 4 phones total.
In classic Apple fashion, the ‘vanilla’ iPhone 16 received the hand-me-down features from the Pro models of last year with the new features reserved solely for the Pro models.
A quick look at the spec highlights of the phones shows everything Apple put into the devices this year and as I said before, these are just spec bumps.

AirPods 4th Generation

Apple also released a new black colourway for the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and a few new colourways for the AirPods Max headphones that still cost $549 (R13 000).
Do you think the iPhone 16 is a worthy upgrade from the iPhone 15?

PS5 PRO LAUNCH
It’s A Mid-Console Generation Upgrade
just in time for the holiday season…

After the rumour mill has been running into overdrive over the launch of the PS5 Pro with developers referring to it as an ‘open secret’ at GamesCom, Sony finally announced the PS5 Pro yesterday.
This comes off the back of months of speculation about when it will be released and what the specs will be, we finally have an answer.
It will include a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller and a copy of Astro’s Playroom pre-installed in every PS5 Pro purchase. PS5 Pro is a disc-less console for $700 (that’s a bit steep), with the option to purchase the currently available Disc Drive for PS5 separately.
Spec-wise it’s looking pretty juicy as well:
Upgraded GPU: With PS5 Pro, they are upgrading to a GPU that has 67% more Compute Units than the current PS5 console and 28% faster memory. Overall, this enables up to 45% faster rendering for gameplay, making the experience much smoother.
Advanced Ray Tracing: They’ve added even more powerful ray tracing that provides more dynamic reflection and refraction of light. This allows the rays to be cast at double, and at times triple, the speeds of the current PS5 console.
AI-Driven Upscaling: They’re also introducing PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. This AI-driven upscaling uses machine learning-based technology to provide super-sharp image clarity by adding an extraordinary amount of detail.
Here is a look at the launch announcement:
