Has Skynet Become A Reality Yet?
uhmmm…maybe not just yet…
Tesla held an exclusive event last week to unveil its new Cybercab. A vehicle that looks like a silver bread tin on wheels. I know the movies said that this is what our tech and design future is going to look like, but seriously this thing is fugly!

The real attention grabber was the Tesla Optimus Humanoid robots that made more than just an appearance at the event. They were mingling in the crowd and serving people drinks. Check this shit out:
Optimus make me a drink, please.
This is not wholly AI. A human is remote assisting.
Which means AI day next year where we will see how fast Optimus is learning.

Impressive right? nope. Don’t get too excited or scared yet though. Skynet isn’t imminent. Humans assist these robots through remote control.
Elon Musk first announced Tesla’s humanoid robot in 2021 by bringing what was very clearly a person in a robot suit on stage, so it’s no surprise that the robots at last week’s event were hyperbolic in their presentation. what an idiot.

It’s NYA’s World And We Live In It
such an effortless voice…
I recently discovered NYA through TikTok (I feel this is the majority of my music discovery these days) and I ain’t mad.
She sang a cover of Keshia Cole’s coloured girl anthem ‘Love’ and I was hooked from the start. She puts her own twist on it and when you listen there is a bit of SZA in there and it’s great!

See what I mean? Effortless, but as is the case with many cover singers on TikTok or YouTube they eventually released original music and this is the case with NYA.
Her latest single Mutual is an RnB journey into the vulnerability of putting your heart out there hoping that the feelings are well ‘mutual’.
It’s an easy listen and the melody is a good pairing with her vocals.

She also loves to cover Justin Bieber songs and her cover of ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ is simply nostalgic. Even though I would have never admitted it 15 years ago, I used to like this song and hearing again just brings back so many memories.
